A photo tour - Disney Magic Kingdom - Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland was the last themed land that we visited in Magic Kingdom.
As the name suggests it features attractions which depict views of the future and how things will take shape in the coming years.

                                                                   Credits - Here

We started my trip of Tomorrowland with Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.
The ride is based on the movie, Toy Story 2.

It is a shooting ride where guests are made to sit in a vehicle having capacity of 2 and provided with laser guns. There is also a joystick in the vehicle which provides 360 degree rotation.
Various targets carrying different points show up during the ride which have to be hit by the laser gun. At the end of the ride a digital score flashes on the screen. I was able to earn 25,000 points making me a Planetary Pilot :)

Next in line was Space Mountain, an indoor outer space themed roller coaster.
The ride happens in dark with lot of ups & downs, twists & turns.
Overall it is a nice experience.

Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress, was our next attraction.
The guests are made to sit in hall which moves from one phase of time to another. The attraction shows the technological advances made during 20th century through an American family.

"There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow", song is played after each shift of time phase.
It was ok types, nothing that great.

Our last attraction for the day was PeopleMover, a ride which takes the guests on a tour of various attractions in Tomorrowland.
It was a good 10 minutes ride where we were able to relax a bit.

As we were short of time so we couldn't cover the remaining attractions which are as below

In Autopia we drive specially designed cars in an enclosed area.

Astro Orbitor is a rock spinner attraction in which there are 12 planet shaped containers in which guests are made to sit. These containers are attached to a central tower shaped structure and spin round and round. The ascent and descent of the container can be controlled by the guests with a control stick.

Stitch's Great Escape! is an attraction which is high on special effects.
Guests are made to sit in a round theatre starring the Little Alien from Disney's animated comedy Lilo & Stitch. The show is know for usage of laser cannons, light effects, smoke and hydraulic pumps.

The last attraction , Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor is a digital puppetry show.

It was an epic time exploring the attractions of Magic Kingdom. Anyone who loves creativity, innovation and has an anxiety to explore new things should definitely visit it once in their lifetime.

A photo tour - Disney Magic Kingdom - Fantasyland

Fantasyland is probably the most happening themed land of Magic Kingdom.
It stands at the top of the chart based on quantity as well as quality of attractions.
The main attraction of magic kingdom, Cinderella's Castle is also part of Fantasyland.

Lets move on the most creative and beautiful attraction among all,  "It's a Small World".
It is a ride which features over 300 very attractive dolls depicting different cultures around the world.
The message of peace and unity given through this attraction is just commendable.

Next in line is equally beautiful and creative attraction , The little mermaid : Ariel's Undersea Adventure.
This ride beautifully portrays the animated film, "The Little Mermaid".
Also as I have grown up seeing the cartoon that used to feature Ariel and Sebastian so I was more keen and excited to board the ride.
We were made to sit in a large & colorful clamshell which rotates in sync with whatever is happening around us.
I really loved the efforts that had been put in to create such a charming and innovative concept.

The creativity and awesomeness is not over yet as we have another beautiful attraction, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
This ride portrays the movie, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh in a very animatic and newflanged way.

So guys if you love animation, creativity and amazing sound effects, definitely go for the above 3 attractions.

Now lets move on to some rollercoaster rides.

The best attraction to try in this segment is the steel roller coaster ride, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
The ride is based on the movie, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
I didn't try this ride as I was out of time but heard that it is definitely good.

                                                                  Credits - Here

The Brainstormer is a junior roller coaster ride which is located in the Storybook Circus section of Fantasyland. I think it is for children.

Other Attractions

If you are interested in to watch a 4D movie, you can go for Mickey's PhilharMagic.
As I had seen lot of 4D movies in past so I didn't devote my time for it.

Peter Pan's flight is another animated ride , themed on disney's movie Peter Pan.
Though I didn't had time to try it time time but I would definitely explore it in my next visit.

Mad Tea Party is a spinning tea cup ride.

Prince Charming Regal Carrousel & Dumbo the Flying Elephant are carousel-style rides for children.

I will crown Fantasyland as the best themed land of Magic Kingdom.

A photo tour - Disney Magic Kingdom - Liberty Square

After covering almost all the fronts in Frontierland it was time to check out the next themed land, Liberty Square.
This themed land is exclusive to the Magic Kingdom.

Attractions include replica of Liberty Bell & Liberty Tree, Hall of Presidents, Liberty Belle Riverboat and Haunted Mansion.

As we were out of time so we decided to go for the best attraction of all, The Haunted Mansion.
We were excited to see how different it was, as normally I found such attractions very boring.
As the Haunted Mansion was huge, so I was looking forward to see a lot of things happening inside.
As we entered the mansion we were taken to a room were a ghost voice welcomed us in a mocking manner. The door was closed by itself.
There were scary paintings all over the room. Also the lights were going on and off. There was a time when the room actually stretched vertically. The audio effects were awesome.
Suddenly the wall in front of us opened and we were ushered to the entrance hall.

One by one black carriages or doombuggies emerges out of the dark which was so creative.
I loved the way those buggies were built.
For the next 15 minutes we were taken on a tour of the haunted mansion on those buggies.
The best thing about them was they used to rotate in sync with whatever was happening around us.

To be very frank I was not at all disappointed after I reached the exit.
I will not disclose what happened for those 15 minutes as it will kill the suspense.
Overall it is definitely a must try attraction.

Hall of presidents as the name suggests sounded nothing interesting so we didn't go for it.

If you have time, definitely try Liberty Belle Riverboat which provides excellent views of the artificial river built in Frontierland known as Rivers of America and also Tom Sawyer Island.

A photo tour - Disney Magic Kingdom - Frontierland

After having lots of adventure in adventureland it was time to step into the next themed land, Frontierland.

The best way to start exploring a new themed land is by trying it's major attraction, which here is Splash Mountain. As the name suggests you are going to experience a splash in a pond of water.

                                                                     Credits - Here

At the starting you are made to sit in a log which can accommodate 8 people, seated 2 in a row.
The log ascends at the top of the hill which is around 50 foot high and then descends down at a 45 degree angle into the pool of water. During the ascend the story of a restless Br'er Rabbit leaving home and being pursued by Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear is being portrayed.

Second major attraction of Frontierland is Big Thunder Mountain railroad.
It is a mine train roller coaster. The track is built around the rocks in a way that appears very natural & original. The ride takes place completely in the sagging, rotting tunnels of the mountain.
It is completely a thrilling experience. But don't waste time in the queue if the wait time is more than 45 minutes as there are better attractions in Magic Kingdom to cover.

Tom Sawyer Island is the next attraction to experience if you have ample time.
It doesn't have much to see, just some caves, a wooden bridge and some climbing and scenic opportunities.

The last 2 attractions, Country Bear Jamboree and Walt Disney World Railroad are ok types.
Country bear jamboree hosts bears playing country music and World Railroad is the train tour around the entire magic kingdom. I didn't try both of them as I was short of time.

A photo tour - Disney Magic Kingdom - Adventureland

Adventureland, the second themed land of Magic Kingdom has 4 major attractions to cover.

To start with is the Swiss Family Treehouse. The tree is 60 feet tall and 90 feet wide. Everything on the treehouse appears to be real and unique. Once you reach at the top, the view of Magic kingdom is just awesome.

Next in line is the Jungle Cruise which I would rank as the top attraction of Adventureland.
You seat in a boat which takes you for a ride in the Jungle. The best part is you actually feel that you have entered a jungle and everything around is so natural and real. Right from waterfalls, tribal people, animals enjoying in their natural habitat, especially the baby elephants shooting water at us.
And last but not the least our Jungle Cruise guide was very energetic and funny which doubled our fun.

After exploring the jungle it was time to meet some pirates and hence we headed towards the second best attraction of Adventureland, Pirates of the Caribbean, which is also a ride.
Whatever you have seen in the movie, everything will appear to be in real here. Mermaids, skeletons of dead pirates, wrecked ships, different sounds from the movie and at the last, Jack Sparrow sitting in his room will refresh your memories.

The last major attraction of Adventureland is Enchanted Tiki room.
Here there is big hall for you to sit and enjoy the presentation which features a cast of over 150 talking, singing and dancing birds, flowers, magic fountains, tiki poles and drummers.

The whole atmosphere is so lively, beautiful and a pleasure to your eyes.

A photo tour - Disney Magic Kingdom - Main Street, USA

As we enter the magic kingdom the opening themed land is . Main Street, USA.
Though there are no major attractions in this themed land but it is known for some amazing parades, main street electrical parade being the most popular of all.

As the park is huge and has lot of attractions to cover, don't devote much of your time at Main Street. You can visit Emporium which carries a wide variety of disney souvenirs and paintings.
Also don't forget to get yourself clicked with "Sharing the Magic Statue" of Roy O. Disney sitting with Minnie Mouse.

As we walk a little more, the magnificent, beautiful and splendiferous , castle of dreams, Cinderella Castle stands at the end of the Main Street.

In the next post I will take you through the awesome attractions of Adventureland.
