Adlabs Imagica : First Impressions

Adlabs Imagica, the most popular theme park of India is located in Khopoli, around 150 kms from Mumbai. First look of this dreamy land makes me recall my memories of Disneyland in Orlando, USA.
We can call it mini Disneyland.

With addition of Snow and Aqua Park, Adlabs Imagica has become a complete family destination.
Recently I got the opportunity to review the park and here is my take on it.

Snow Park

Snow Parks always excite me and this time was no different.

Things that I loved here -:
1. Snow Park is big enough to accommodate a good chunk of people hence you get sufficient space to enjoy and have fun.
2. Sliding from the top in a tube is definitely a must try thing.
3. The disc plays some good music and it is fun dancing amid the snow.
4. Lot of snow to throw at each other.
5. Sofa made up of ice where you can sit and get snapped.

Things that can be improved on -:
1. The hall where you put on the attire required to get in the Snow Park, stinks a lot.
2. The time for each session is a bit less which can be increased to 45 minutes.

Aqua Imagica
We only did a tour of the park as we were short of time.

Though we didn't try any rides here but from the info the tour guide gave us and from the look and feel, I can conclude the below -:
1. There are lot of rides which are suited for people of all age segments.
2. If you are expecting rides with lot of twists, turns and drops, you won't be disappointed.
3. Apart from the general attractions like Aqua Disc and Wave pool with sea like waves there are quite a good no of rides which offer you a great thrilling experience.

a. Loopy Woopy - If you are a speed lover this one is for you.
Plummet through a 39 ft. vertical drop into a 360-degree
looping slide of speed and exhilaration.

b. Swirl Whirl
- This exhilarating ride takes you through a
thrilling series of twists and turns, and then plummets you into         the core of the funnel where you share 4 to 5 near-vertical
oscillations before exiting the flume into the final plunge.

c. Twisty Turvy
- The exciting gravity-defying coaster with hair-
raising drops and breath-taking curves. It blasts riders uphill on        water jets, launching them into the ‘Super Bowl’ with centrifugal
forces keeping them high on the wall for several turns, and
ending through an enclosed flume into a splashdown pool.

d. Not to forget the wave pool at Imagica is a regular for famous
DJs.

Theme Park
Finally it was time to explore the magical land which is also called Mini Disney Land.

Things that I liked here -:

1. Rides -:
There are rides for all kind of people here.
If you love to feel the adrenaline rush and thrill while twisting and swirling in the roller coaster rides, here are some great options.

a. Nitro - India's biggest and craziest roller coaster ride which will
take your excitement to a completely different level.

b. Dark Space - India's first roller coaster which runs in dark.
Feeling the adrenaline rush in a completely dark dome that too at
crazy speeds is a pure bliss.

c. Scream Machine - This gigantic rotating Pendulum ride makes
you recall those childhood days of Columbus, a ride similar to
it.Most of us who have enjoyed Columbus, this ride is a pure bliss.

d. Wrath of Gods - This is a great special effect show using air, water and fire.

e. Rajasaurus River Adventure - A good Story telling with an
awesome splash at the last.

f.  I for India - Witnessing the magnificent India from a helicopter's height is a unique lifetime experience.

g. Mr India - When one of my favorite movies of the childhood goes 4D, it has to be awesome.

2. Food -:
The variety and taste is good though the price is slightly on a
higher side.

3. Photographer's paradise -:
The walls of Imagica are painted and decorated so beautifully that
you will find a lot of photography  opportunities here.

4. Parade -:
The grand parade is one of the most popular attractions of Imagica
which shouldn't be missed.
Amazing dancers, famous cartoon characters and beautiful
tableau will definitely make you go gaga.

Things that can be improved
1. Laser show was good but I had much more expectations from it.
There is a lot of scope to make it more creative, innovative and
unique.
2. The price of food and stuff in stores is a bit heavy on the pocket.

SeaWorld Orlando : Sea of Power

So after an enchanting encounter with the sharks it was time to watch the main attraction of SeaWorld, "The Killer Whales", so we headed towards the last sea(area) of SeaWorld ,
Sea of Power.

There are mainly 2 attractions in Sea of Power -:
1. The Shamu Stadium
2. Wild Arctic

The Shamu Stadium hosts "One Ocean" as its main show.
We also had a lady singer that night to enhance our experience and double our entertainment.
Undoubtedly Killer Whales are the cutest thing and "One Ocean" the best show in SeaWorld.
The way these Ocra Whales weighing more than 4 tones were performing breathtaking somersaults and stunts, was definitely a delight to watch for any human being.

Here are some snaps from the show -:

And here are the videos -:

Wild Arctic is an indoor animal exhibit hosting White Whales, Pacific Walrus and Harbour Seals.

SeaWorld Orlando : Sea of Delight

So after seeing the cute little penguins dancing, swimming and running around, it was time to head towards the next area(sea) of SeaWorld, Sea of Delight.

As the name suggests there are lot of attractions & restaurants here to delight you.

We started with the main attraction which is Mediterranean Village.
There are lot of pine shaped trees which have automatic lights embedded in them.
After 6 p.m. when it starts to get dark is the best time to be here.
It was amazed by the awesome light and sound show. Here is the video for you.

After capturing the awe inspiring show we went to Spice Mill to make our tummy happy.
We took some veg dish, I don't remember the name but it was good.

Sky Tower ride is also situated in Sea of Delight.
Once you are at the top, the panoramic view is phenomenal.
It is one of the best place to enjoy the breathtaking view of Orlando.

Two of it's animal attractions include
1. Sea Lion show.
2. Pets Ahoy

We went to Sea Lion show but had to skip Pets Ahoy because of scarcity of time.
The Sea Lion show is based on a high school theme where Sea lions are also students.
The whole act of getting them pass in the exams after principal announce them failed is a treat to watch.
Amazing stunts and superb comedy, overall a great show.

In the next post I will take you to the mysterious sea, Sea of Mystery.

SeaWorld Orlando PhotoWalk - Sea of Ice

After enjoying the breathtaking rides in the Sea of Legends it was time to explore the next sea(area), The Sea of Ice.

Sea of ice is themed on the Antarctica continent. As you enter the area there are snow covered mountains which looks so real. Also there are crystalline structures which appear to be made of ice.
The only attraction of this area is Antarctica : Empire of the penguin.
It is a dark ride where the guests follow young penguin on a journey home after a harsh storm.

The most awwwing part of the ride is at the end when you get to see lot of cute penguins live in front of you. The habitat looks so natural with the right proportion of water and snow.
You can see those cute little creatures swimming, dancing and moving around freely.

Here are some pics from the Sea of Ice.

And here is a video for you -:

At the end of the ride you splash into the water with a great speed which is just awesome.

A photo tour - Disney Magic Kingdom - Fantasyland

Fantasyland is probably the most happening themed land of Magic Kingdom.
It stands at the top of the chart based on quantity as well as quality of attractions.
The main attraction of magic kingdom, Cinderella's Castle is also part of Fantasyland.

Lets move on the most creative and beautiful attraction among all,  "It's a Small World".
It is a ride which features over 300 very attractive dolls depicting different cultures around the world.
The message of peace and unity given through this attraction is just commendable.

Next in line is equally beautiful and creative attraction , The little mermaid : Ariel's Undersea Adventure.
This ride beautifully portrays the animated film, "The Little Mermaid".
Also as I have grown up seeing the cartoon that used to feature Ariel and Sebastian so I was more keen and excited to board the ride.
We were made to sit in a large & colorful clamshell which rotates in sync with whatever is happening around us.
I really loved the efforts that had been put in to create such a charming and innovative concept.

The creativity and awesomeness is not over yet as we have another beautiful attraction, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
This ride portrays the movie, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh in a very animatic and newflanged way.

So guys if you love animation, creativity and amazing sound effects, definitely go for the above 3 attractions.

Now lets move on to some rollercoaster rides.

The best attraction to try in this segment is the steel roller coaster ride, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
The ride is based on the movie, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
I didn't try this ride as I was out of time but heard that it is definitely good.

                                                                  Credits - Here

The Brainstormer is a junior roller coaster ride which is located in the Storybook Circus section of Fantasyland. I think it is for children.

Other Attractions

If you are interested in to watch a 4D movie, you can go for Mickey's PhilharMagic.
As I had seen lot of 4D movies in past so I didn't devote my time for it.

Peter Pan's flight is another animated ride , themed on disney's movie Peter Pan.
Though I didn't had time to try it time time but I would definitely explore it in my next visit.

Mad Tea Party is a spinning tea cup ride.

Prince Charming Regal Carrousel & Dumbo the Flying Elephant are carousel-style rides for children.

I will crown Fantasyland as the best themed land of Magic Kingdom.
