Godrej L'Affaire 2018 : A Gala Affair of Stylish People

Hey,

It was indeed a very Happy L'Affaire Weekend! This event organised By Godrej Properties and Verve  at The Trees, was tons of fun…It must have been also very challenging for the L'Affaire team from managing the schedule, to shooting content in between…and of course arranging for cake tasting , whiskey tasting events and  prepping makeovers from Chambor and trendy manicure from Ellements Co.

With that said, I was super excited to attend this fashion and lifestyle event to give you guys an inside look at my experience! I think I almost got obsessed with Nachiket Barve’s fashion  show It was fabulous and the designs were super cool. Then there was an informative travel talk show by one and only Mini Mathur organised by TLC .

L'Affaire Vikhroli had everything for everyone. Below are some of the fabulous pics from the event. I hope you like it

Men’s Jewelry trends: brighten your day with some finery!

What goes into your fashion routine apart from slick hair gels and truck loads of natural charisma? Ever thought of jazzing things up a bit by wearing a bracelet or two? It is probably still too early for men around the world to wrap themselves around some jewelry. That, however, doesn’t alter the fact that men’s fashion is reinventing itself, and menswear has experienced a shower of bling on the runways. Explore your creative side this season and try an eclectic mix and match that’ll turn your fashion statement around!

1. The break-through bracelets

Men are steadily levitating towards a biker-casual outerwear appeal. Funky leather bracelets are         the break-through ornaments that men have taken a fancy to. Leather accentuates masculinity
and is also perceived as a power symbol. Get entwined with the rustic charm of leather and
flaunt the single-band bracelet with your stylish shirts.

Riveted designs on leather are worth every penny this season! Available in a variety of styles,
coil these stylish bracelets around your wrist, and intensify your love for pure leather. Keep your
sleeves rolled up, flaunt those glamorous shades and let your leather bracelets shine on.

Beaded jewelry adds a subtle tone of mystery to your personality. Give in to exquisite, beaded
bracelets and try them on to add a level of playfulness to your attire. Colored stones and gems
have been strung together to create some of the finest jewelry pieces for your wardrobe.

We might be able to entice you with the delicacy of silver. We are assuming that not everyone
would fascinated with boho-casual bracelets. A simple and sleek, silver bracelet would make for
a sophisticated purchase. Try the bracelet with the lovely chevron design, and I’m sure you
wouldn’t be able to part with it.

2. Lock yourself in a cool locket

Coming back to rustic jewelry, we have a fair share of those awaiting you. Priceless pendants
exhibiting curious features and symbols seem promising. Few lockets adorning rough strings or
chains, have carried forward the do-it-yourself approach to men’s jewelry.

Little pendants crafted from silver can be your lucky charms! Attract a lot of attention and envy
from onlookers, and create a glamorous league of your own. Sterling silver is a great choice to
wear with your formals or party suits. You’ll soon realize that these pendants are rather brilliant
       for your everyday fashion fix.

3. Ting-a-ring!

Rings designed from flawless, sterling silver represent brilliance in every way. The ingenious
cut-work on silver and sparkly stones coupled immaculately with silver bands will immediately
         catch your fancy.
We don’t want the men to miss out on some of the finest choices in jewelry. I’m sure the
shopper in you is anxious to break free! Happy shopping!

How Fashion is influenced by Politics..!!

Fashion has never been a separate entity. Fashion has always been at the core of a series of occurrences around the world. Inspirations are abound everywhere, and human life is intermittently connected through political and social systems. We can therefore, see eye to eye upon the subject that politics and fashion can be spoken of in the same breath. When we ponder upon politics, what really comes to your mind? Amidst the dirty gamble for power, we can recall some influential political players who have made tremendous fashion statements. These esteemed individuals were or are power figures in every way. Apart from their astounding political stature, their impact or influence on fashion cannot be ignored. Take a look at the personalities whose political identities have helped shape fashion as we know it.

1.       Jacqueline Kennedy

Jacqueline Kennedy was the First Lady of the United States, and was also a leading fashion icon. Being both popular and powerful, Jacqueline was careful to be nattily clad almost always. Her prim dresses matched with her signature pillbox hat and exquisite pearls would make her look like a vision. She would bare her well-defined shoulders to the maximum with sophisticated off-shoulder gowns and dresses. Trying out quirky elements like irregular sunglasses would only add to Jaqueline’s outward charm.

2.     Benazir Bhutto

The first female prime minister of a Muslim country, Benazir Bhutto was a highly influential lady in the field of politics and fashion. In Pakistan, wearing the sari or western outfits had been outlawed in response to which Bhutto adopted the simple and sophisticated salwar kameez. A silky dupatta or a scarf would neatly crown her head, and she would appear indomitably in control of both her personal affairs and the affairs of her country.

3.       Princess Diana

A phenomenal fashionista to reckon with, Lady Diana was a true-blue princess in every respect. She was a paradigm of grace and splendor. Much loved by her admirers and revered as a fashion icon, Lady Diana would wear all her ensembles with utmost charm and panache. The attractive, leggy princess was always on top of the fashion game; her statement blazer looks, the body-hugging sheath gowns and eclectic choices in hats have immortalized her as a powerful fashion icon in the minds of many. The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton has picked up on her late mother-in-law’s fashion instincts, and has wonderfully reinvented the same looks with as much flair.

     4.       Indira Gandhi

Indira Gandhi was the indomitable female Prime Minister of India, who carried out the controversial Emergency in India. Successful and immensely powerful, Indira Gandhi would translate very strong sartorial vibes through her ensembles. Her bouffant-styled hair with its dexterous white streak gave a fashion fillip to her personality. Her elegant sarees would only add to her infectious charm as a political player and a fashion icon.

5.       Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama has taken charge as First Lady, dishing out one stunning look after the other. Her fashion sensibilities are pretty versatile, and she brings colors and prints to life with flattering dresses and blazers. Her fashion sensibilities represent a great synthesis of power and prowess; she has truly become a fashion icon owing to the fact that she loves being comfortable in her own skin.
I am certain, that there are other political players, among both men and women whose style statement might’ve struck a chord with you. Although, in my estimation these ladies are among the rare few who can translate power through fashion effectively.

The perfect combo : Cricket and Fashion..

The world cup has entered into its crucial stage with quarterfinals in progress.
Excitement levels have increased and so are the expectations.
Since 1975 when the first world cup was held, there has been lot of changes in the way cricket has been played. Technological advancements have made the game more transparent and enjoyable.
In the starting it used to be bowler’s heaven but now a scoring above 300 has become a common trend.

One thing that has changed a lot with time is the style that is carried by the players today.
In the early days how well a player used to perform defined his fan base but today it’s also his presentation and fashion sense which makes him popular among the masses.

Different factors which have changed in the course of time are as below

Dressing
During the initial world cups the dress of the players on the field used to be White.

But today the trend has changed and every team has its own color and design.
Media exposure has increased a lot today and the effect is easily visible on the players.

In this era of selfies players have to look trendy off the field too as they have to attend lot of parties,
events and interviews, hence they have to be always dressed in their best.

Physical Appearance
A mustache, a tattoo or even a haircut can make a cricketer a youth icon.
In today’s world film stars are not the only style icons as cricketers are also followed for their style and looks.
There are lot of cricketers today who are the trend setters, be it Shikhar Dhawan or Ravindra Jadeja for their mustache; Sunil Narine, MS Dhoni or Malinga for their hairstyle and Mitchell Johnson or Dale Steyn  for their tattoos.

Endorsements
Today players endorse a lot of brands and appears on the cover page of magazines.
Some have even started their own fashion brands, like Virat Kholi has his own fashion line called
"WROGN" and Zaheer Khan has Sher Singh.

Finally we can conclude that cricket players are becoming smart and well groomed with time.
A new era where the gentlemen game and fashion will go hand in hand.
