Reliance Digital Experience...

As I opened Indiblogger website there was a beautiful woman smiling and The Reliance Digital Experience flashing in front of my eyes. I couldn't take my eyes off because of the word Reliance in it.
This is going to be something big and I was not at all disappointed.

An invite to explore the Reliance Digital store with a goody bag and Ipod shuffle in return, wow..!!! what more you can expect from the Largest private sector enterprise of India.

Without wasting anytime I quickly checked out the stores and dates and registered for the store at Infinity Mall, Malad on 15/16th June.

Few of my bloggers friends also registered for the same venue so we decided to drop there together on 15th.

On the D day we were really excited for the experience and fun that was lying ahead.
As we entered the venue we were warmly greeted by the security people there.
We told them that we are from Indiblogger and have come for the store visit.

He gave a big smile as if CEO of Reliance has come to meet him and at once called the manager.
Manager was a young man with a good built. He was accompanied by a person who checked the print out of our invites and took our mobile numbers.

Manager greeted us amiably and introduced himself as Vishal Singh.
He escorted us to the first section of the Store which he called as IT section.
It was where all the gadgets were kept. Right from laptops , tablets , cameras, TV's , PlayStations,  to mobiles , all the most important companions of a human being were there.

He explained us about different types of laptops and their features which suited different purposes. Like there was a Lappy for study , one for gaming and another for office purpose.

Next we moved on to the eyes of a shutterbug, the Cameras. There was a wide range of SLR's and DSLR's on display.
Quickly I scanned them and selected one but the price tag made me move forward..:P
The Reliance personnel explained us the pros and cons of the cameras of different brands.

Next in line were the most revolutionary product of the century , Mobiles.
All the big brands were ready with their best warriors. Samsung S4 , S3 and Grand were giving a glare to  Apple's i5 and i4. Nokia was ready with its Lumia combats. Micromax was teasing everyone with its A110 Canvas 2 and HD canvas, the in demand brothers..;)

Vishal took us to the next section of the store which was called PowerEye.
It was the fort of all hot selling products. The discounts that were offered were like the icing on the cake. This section was called PowerEye because it was the first thing an eye of a customer entering the store will notice. I really loved the concept.

Next we moved on to the most creative concept an electronics store would have, The Time Out section.
Here we had books, novels, CD's and DVD's of songs and movies and stationary items for kids.
The collection and choice of all the products in this section was really awesome and appreciable.

We were at the last stop of our trip as Vishal our guide cum manager took us to the last section of the store, The Accessories section. As the name suggest this section had all the accessories which adds on to the functionality of a product. This section was at display at the extreme right and left walls of the store. Another innovative concept, Products in the middle and Accessories at the corners.

Finally we were done exploring the store , All thanks to the manager, Vishal Singh.
The best thing about this exploration was we were detailed about every product and made comfortable so that we can easily ask questions and quench our curiosity.

Personal Experience : I always wanted to own a Smart TV which could function on just a wave of hand. There was a Smart TV of Sony on display , so decided to check it out personally .The personnel there gave such a wonderful demo and even asked me to try it out. You have to keep your hand still for 10 seconds infront of a camera which is embedded in TV and thus the magic begins.
You can change channel, increase volume , zoom in and out, watch videos and movies on Youtube and much more..Amazing technology, Amazing Product..:)

The same person who collected our Indiblogger invites took a pic of everyone and promised to dispatch the goodies bag and ipod shuffle at our doorstep.
I won't mind if iPad too wanted to join the party and come along...;)

Waiting eagerly for the 3 idiots (goodies bag, ipod shuffle and probably also ipad to drop by anytime..:)

Clouds are gathering.. Gloomy silence descending.. Thunder in the offing.. Dark times are arriving.. War is on the cards..The battle cries have begun... All alone in this war... I fight I fail I fear... but i fight harder to stand again... A ray of sunshine cleaves through the haze of darkness..and i survive! A never ending cycle which continues till the end of life !

When Gods met Goddesses..

Yes I proposed Vaidehi in a Jain Temple was my answer to Rohan's Question.

Rohan , Amit and I were best buddies. We did all the crap, crazy, mindless and sometimes legendary things together. Like switching off the lights of the gal's hostel at 2 a.m , calling up Ambulance because the most irritating professor of our college nearly got a fake heart attack...:P..etc etc..

Vaidehi and I were into relationship from past 4 months and it was time to make it public.
So I had invited all our mutual friends for a weekend party at my house to make an official announcement of our relationship. Amit and Rohan were helping me out with the party idea. Suddenly Rohan popped up a question at me "Did you propose her at the Jain temple which is near to Oberoi Mall".
When I said yes he came up with an idea to make this party legendary..;)

We are going for a theme party dude. The gods and goddesses of Greek Mythology are coming on earth to celebrate this awesomeness with us.
I know the place where we can get the costumes from, now you decide upon the ambiance and decoration part of it.
"Leave the food and drinks on me", assured Amit.

Party is on this Sunday and we have just 2 days left, so guys let’s get working right away.

I told Vaidehi about the theme party we were planning for and if she was comfortable with it. She said that I was really an interesting idea and she was looking forward to it.

It was Sunday evening and we were ready with everything. I was dressed as Cupid the God of love, Amit was Plutus the God of wealth and Rohan as Bacchus the God of wine as his first love was wine and just wine..;)

All decorations were done. I have managed to get some cupids flying at the top and shooting @ of 100 Arrows/min..:P..just kidding..but yeah I did hang some cupids as they were symbol of love.

Also I had put strings of light, a combination of blue, red and yellow to bring a smoothing effect. Getting those Greek period statues from my boss house was tough but I managed finally and  dude it really made the ambiance more Greeky.

Friends started pouring in. Girls were looking like angels, so AXE guys angels
can come to earth without the axe effect too..:P

Where is Vaidehi? was the common question .”She could here anytime, so be ready to surprise her”, I told everyone. I peeped out of my house to see if she was somewhere down the lane. As I stepped out people looked at me as if I was some god from Greek mythology who has come to earth to sort all their problems..:P

After a long wait of 1 hour our goddess, rather say the most beautiful angel on the earth arrived.

She wore a beautiful golden arm cuff which glittered a lot. The Stola (a dress which is worn by Roman Goddesses) looked awesome on her and also had ribbons in it. Her wreath was made up of laurel leaves and feathers and gave her a perfect Aphrodite (goddess of love and beauty) look.

We hugged each other and started with the celebrations.
A huge castle shaped cake came in front of us with 2 figures (me and Vaidehi) standing at the top of it.

I sang TUM HI HO from AASHIQUI 2 for her and at the end of the song went down on my knees proposing her.
In return she made the official announcement of our relationship planting a kiss
on my lips.

After cake cutting it was time to move your steps to match your heartbeats and for that we had some of the best romantic tracks in the house.
Dancing like gods and goddesses made us feel in heaven..:)

Now came the best part of every party, the food and drinks time.
Everyone was eager to know the menu so I took out a Parchment, rolled it out and
began with announcing the dishes.

From the Kitchens of India I present to you

1.     Mango Garlic Chutney

2.     Strawberry And Mint Converse

3.     Mughlai Paneer

4.     Dal Bukhara

5.     Vegetable Biryani Mix

6.     Hazoori Petha Halwa

The food was really yummy and tasted like homemade.
After food it was time for drinks and everyone started shouting “Lets rock at the Bar”.
There was Red and White Wine ready to be served.

Finally it was time and people started to depart.
“This was the most wonderful party I have been to in my life. I am not saying so only because it had me and you but also because of the amazing theme and most importantly the most delicious food I had till date”, said Vaidehi with a huge smile.

We kissed each other and she left for home.
Now only I , Amit and Rohan were left. It was time to save the world from evil and free the goddesses from demons , so the gods were out to conquer...(*Wink*)

Until Death Do Us Apart

This post is part of contest "Moral of The Story is.." on Indiblogger..

I and Palak were happily married for last 5 years.

We were in the same dance group of our college and fortunately partners.
Both of us were good dancers and had a great chemistry together.
Slowly how this dance steps also moved our heart beats, how this dance chemistry also spiced up the real chemistry of our life, we didn't realize.

I proposed her the very moment after our performance and she said yes..:)

She was a caring mother and loving wife. But last 6 months had changed my life drastically.
It was Rhea who came in my life and did the damage. She had stolen my heart which always used to beat for Palak. Now I was hers.

Rhea and I had fixed our date of marriage and it was time to tell Palak about it.
I decided to tell her everything on dinner.

When I reached home, she was sitting on the dinner table.
I came closer to her and said, I have something to tell you.
She sat down and waited for me to start. I could see the pain in her eyes as if she knew what was coming.
Last 6 months were like hell for our relationship. We were never intimate, never kissed each other,
forget about having sex.

Suddenly I lost my tongue. I was not able to speak a word.
I wanted to let her know that I wanted divorce but didn't know how to open my mouth.
With all my power I raised the topic calmly.

She was not agitated by my words, instead she just asked me politely, Why?

I tried to overlook the question which made her furious. At once she picked a spoon and threw at me which struck right above my right eye. Are u crazy, I said. Her response was “Go to hell". We didn't talk for couple of days. She kept weeping the whole day. What was her fault, what wrong has happened to our marriage, was only what she wanted to know. I was in no position to tell her that I have lost my heart to Rhea and didn't love her anymore

Now there was nothing else than a divorce agreement which could convey my words to her. I drafted one which stated that my wife was the owner of our 2 bungalows, 1 farmhouse and 50% stake in my company.

Next day I gave it to her in the morning. She glanced at it and tore it to pieces.  Her eyes were like ocean full of pain and finally she cried badly in front of me. I was the one responsible for all those tears. Every tear had just one question why are u making me a stranger, throwing me out of your life, what’s my mistake?

When I came from office she gave me a page which had some points written on it.
She had agreed for a divorce but there were few conditions.
1. I have to give a month notice before divorce date.
2. For that month we will try to live a normal life as possible
I agreed to both of them but there was a one more.
After coming from office I will dance with her for half an hour on the same songs and music that we used to in our college days.`

I agreed to her crazy condition, though I was usually very tired after coming from office but it was just matter of a month and I wanted to end it peacefully.

When I came from office it was all set, the music, the ambiance everything for a perfect salsa.
It was salsa which had brought us together during the college days.
As the music started we took our pose and the salsa started.
Our daughter was so happy to see us dancing. She too got involved.
It was awkward for both of us to do salsa after so many years that too at this point of life.
It also involved lifts, stunts and aerial work, the moves that called for intimacy and chemistry.
First day we managed to finish it but with lot of clumsiness.

Next day it was a bit normal.
I managed to get the moves correctly. There were moments when I had a closer look at her.
There were signs of aging, dark spots and wrinkles.
5 years back when I practiced the same move she was a divine beauty, flawless and fresh.
Our marriage had a toll on her. She had faded and I didn't even have the time to look at her.

One week passed away and our sense of intimacy was growing again.
I was able to recall those old golden days, the most beautiful moments of my life.
But one thing that was striking my mind was her health. While doing the lifts and
aerial work I felt her to be much lighter and thinner. She had lost a lot of weight.

On our last day when our daughter went to sleep, I played the music.
With the first move I could feel her. At every step, on every lift she came closer to me.
The buried feelings, emotions and intimacy had finally erupted out.
At the end I held her tight in my arms and said, Will you be my salsa partner for life long.

She had tears in her eyes. It was the first time after 6 long months that we kissed each other, but not this passionately any time before.

Next day I drove my way to office and called Rhea in my cabin.
I told her that, I wanted my marriage to work and I still love Palak the same way I used to love her
5 years before.
I am really sorry but I don’t want this divorce.
Rhea was astonished. She gave me water and asked me if I was fine.
I told her that I was in my complete senses. The main thing which was missing in our marriage was
the value of each other, the charm, and the intimacy.
We have found that back and now only death can do us apart.

She slapped me hard. I knew this was coming.  She slammed the door and went away. I wasted no time and came back to home.

Today was a big day for me. I was going to propose her in the same way I did 5 years back.
Everything was set on the beach. A small white color four pillared tent which was embellished with heart shaped Lamps, 1 at each corner and a big red one in the middle. Inside the tent there was a beautiful table and 2 chairs decorated with flowers. The music was on.

Today I was going to do the best salsa I knew.

When I reached home she was dressed in the best attire she had. Suddenly she looked the most
beautiful woman I have ever seen in my life.
We drove to the beach area where I have done all the arrangements.
She was overwhelmed with joy after seeing it. Without wasting a single moment I played the music as it was time for some salsa baby.
It was our first lift and she collapsed in my arms. Suddenly the world came to a halt.
I couldn't feel her pulse. I was devastated.

“She is suffering from cancer from past few months. We can’t say anything till next 24 hours”, the
Doctor said. I was shocked. It was like there was no blood in my body.
In last few months I had noticed that her health was deteriorating but I ignored it as I was too busy in my life with Rhea. How selfish was I to ignore those warning signs. I was feeling guilty for what all has happened to her. It was all my fault.

She remained unconscious the next complete day. I prayed the whole day only to see her smile back.
It was around 4 a.m. in the morning when doctor came out and told me that she had come to her senses again but there is also a bad news. She won’t be able to become a mother again.
I was tore apart. She always said that we will have 2 children, a son and a daughter. From last 8 months she was telling me that I was the right time to have their 2nd child but the blind me ignored it completely.

When I went in I took her hand and cried like a child. She said she was fine and won’t trouble me more. I asked her, why she let all this happen to her.  Why did she ignore the signs?

She politely said, “From last 8 months every moment she was busy to make their marriage work.
There was no time in her life for herself, her body. Though sometimes she felt lot of pain and fatigue. But she ignored them as they had now become part of her life.
I hugged her tightly and thanked god for giving me my life back, my wonderful wife Palak.

Moral of the Story
There are 2 morals of this story

Don’t ignore signs in form of drastic weight loss or body deterioration. You might think
It’s normal because you are going through a bad phase as in this story it was bad marriage.
But remember it can turn out to be something really worst.

It’s not flashy gifts, bungalow or money that gives happiness in a relationship. It is those little
things that you do for each other which build intimacy.

Modern Healthcare :Touching lives from Kashmir to Kanyakumari

Its a very renown saying that health is wealth.

If a person is healthy, fit and fine
He can enjoy life's every sun shine
Travel the world which is so divine
Without worrying about stomach , liver or intestine.

In today's world keeping oneself fit and healthy is the top most priority of every person.
People have become quite aware about the fatal diseases , their symptoms , prevention and cure, all thanks to the discoveries and findings of modern day healthcare that is available just a click away.

Some facts and figures about India
  • India has the largest number of medical colleges in the world
  • India produces among largest numbers of doctors in the developing world. These doctors are exported to many other countries, and are considered among the best in the world.
  • This country gets ‘Medical tourists’ from many developed countries reflecting the high standard of medical skill and expertise here. They seek care in its state-of-the-art, high-tech hospitals which compare with the best in the world.
  • Turning to medicines, this country is the fourth largest producer of drugs by volume in the world and is among the largest exporter of drugs in the world.
  • India has the largest private medical sector in the world.

Above facts just tell us one story which is "The Health Care system in India is booming at a rapid pace with most efficient manpower and latest technology."

The source for above mentioned facts is http://sanhati.com/excerpted/1759/.

Lets focus on what all changes have been brought up in the modern day health system

1. Better way of treatment and less sufferings
Prior to the advent of modern health technology , physicians used to totally depend on the
information gleaned from patient's narrative about their complaints and outward bodily signs to
identify the disease. One wrong judgement could lead to severe consequences for the patient.
The sufferings involved in the treatment was also on a higher scale.

But the development of self regulating instruments, effective medicines , robotic machines that
can even carry out surgeries has revolutionized the methods of treatment and minimized the level of
    sufferings involved.

For Example the most advanced Cancer treatment options available, Novalis TX radiosurgery &
radiotherapy has changed the face of  cancer treatment, and already helped thousands of people
continue to go to work, spend time with family and friends and take part in their favorite activities,
     while fighting cancer.

2. Information just a click away
The invention of internet has brought revolution in every field , with health care also one of them.
All the discoveries ,findings, symptoms ,even treatments of many diseases are just a click away.
The degree of awareness among people has increased manifold ,all thanks to internet.

3. Improved patient care and worker efficiency
Modern Technology has made the patient care more reliable and safe.
Today doctors use computers to record all the medical history of a patient and navigate
through it whenever necessary. It not only saves time and improves efficiency but also helps
doctor to check whether they are administering the correct treatment.

Results of lab tests, records of vital signs and medicine orders can be stored in a database that can
     be referred later.
Patients too have access to all the information which can help them understand the treatment
     they are given.

With the availability of databases having large amount of information , the research work has also
      advanced resulting in major breakthroughs

4. Availability and Access to medical facilities
24 * 7 availability and access to hospitals, doctors , ambulances and modern devices has helped in
    saving thousands of lives.

If a heart patient has a fatal heart attack in Indore, he can be immediately transferred to AIIMS Delhi
through helicopter with all vital facilities available in it.

5. Quick Organ Transplantation
In earlier times organ transplantation was a very difficult job because of the slow speed and
    old technology.
There were problems of transplant rejection, during which the body has an immune response to the
transplanted organ, possibly leading to transplant failure and immediate need to remove the organ
otherwise which can also lead to death of the recipient in case of heart transplant.

Today kidney, heart, lung ,intestine is a common thing. You just need to register your name at a
hospital and soon they will come with a donor for you. There is a special unit which keeps a track
of it. Hair and skin transplantation are also carried out widely to enhance the looks.

6.  Cosmetic Surgeries
With increasing cases of acid attacks and burning , cosmetic surgeries have turn out to be a boon
for the sufferers. They not only give you back your identity but also help to live a normal life in
      the society.

For the high society it have been a status symbol.
Breast enhancements , lips and nose corrections surgeries are quite common among
      celebrities.

Now lets see how the modern day health care has changed lives of people

1. Immune Society
Polio was one of the most dreaded disease of 20th century. It has crippled lives of many people
especially children. They had to suffer from paralysis at such a young age and finally
be a victim to a horrible death.
Smallpox was once the most fatal endemic disease on earth which took away millions of life.
Similarly Hepatitis A and B , rabies and measles fall under the same category.

But today the scope and level of immunization has increased considerably.
India has been removed from the list of polio endemic countries by WHO ,
all thanks to the pulse polio campaign. Today no child has the fear to lose his life to polio even in the
     rural areas.
Smallpox has been eradicated from the world itself.
Similarly there are vaccinations available for many fatal diseases which has removed the fear
and suffering from the life of people altogether.

2. Treatment within Budget
There are many state funded charitable hospitals opened for the benefit of poor and needy.
Free treatment , medicines and food are been provided to those who can't even afford a 2 day meal.

Cure for fatal diseases like Tuberculosis are given at a very reasonable rate.
One of the most successful step by government in this direction is the introduction of program
called  "DOTS". In this health workers, community volunteers, traditional birth attendants
monitor, record, supervise and cure TB patients with support of government.

So today the complete savings of the family doesn't go into saving the life of a family member.
People can easily afford the treatment of their disease along with the expenses of day to day living.
Modern Day healthcare has made their life easy, comfortable and manageable.

3. Increase in life expectancy
The life expectancy of people has increased impressively.

Today a person suffering from TB, Typhoid or even Cancer doesn't have a fear of losing his life
and tension of his family whereabouts after him.
He knows that his disease can be cured and he can get back to normal life.

Modern Day healthcare has helped to build that determination, optimism and courage in a person
    suffering from a fatal disease.

4. Rehabilitation Programs
The worst enemy of a person is his addiction. There are millions of cases where this addiction of
alcohol, drugs, gambling, smoking etc has given big return gifts. Death or fatal disease to the
addict and life long mourning for his family members.

With coming of the Rehabilitation centers run by Trust and big Hospital there has been a
drastic attempt in mitigating the overwhelming problem of addiction.

Addiction take away everything from you; money , family and status.
But these programs are helping people to control their craving and get back to normal life.
Also they are not heavy on the pocket.
So in all they are boon for the young generation specifically who get drifted apart so easily.

5. New Body New Soul
Cosmetic surgeries and organ transplantation has not only given people new bodies or
organs but also a new soul. After an acid attack or body burn the soul of sufferer dies.
He/she losses hope of a getting back to a normal life, to become part of the society again.
Self esteem and confidence is lost , dreams are shattered.

But these modern day technology gives a new identity , a new hope to the patient
to live again and start a new life.

6. Medical Tourism
In this era of globalization  for a profit motivated global capital, exploiting opportunities in areas
having low price and high quality is a linked development. From a developing country's perspective,
this might appear to be attractive to widen business opportunities as well to earn foreign
    exchange.
At present the medical tourists we get in India, estimated at around 150,000 annually come on a
voluntary basis and contribute an estimated $750 million annually to India's hospital and allied sector.

So the rise of medical tourism provides an opportunity for people in India to use the services of
highly skilled foreign doctors who are equipped with the latest technology in the business, in India
itself that too at a lower cost than what they would had to pay outside the country.

We can say that Medical tourism is a good initiative by Modern day healthcare system.

7. Health Insurance
Insurance is the most important investment in today's world , be it life or health insurance.
No health insurance means a hell lot of financial burden for an individual.

Mediclaims acts as an umbrella for medical coverage during times of medical needs.
It includes everything right from room charges, boarding expenses, nursing charges, ICU,
operation theater charges , surgeon fees and the list is endless.

And it is not only affordable but also has an advantage of tax rebate.
So today life of a person in medical need and his family members has become so easy , all thanks
    to their Medical Insurance.
Best one I have come across is Apollomunich Insurance..:)

8. A boon for Disabled
A person who is born physically disabled have a preconceived notion that he can never get on the
same boat as that of the able people. He won't be treated and given same opportunities as people
without disabilities. He lacks confidence and believes of getting discriminated.

But the modern technology and equipments has made it possible for the handicapped person to live a
normal man's life. He can walk, talk , jog, rock and roll in the same manner as an able man.

Also for the mentally disabled there are centers who teach them basic living skills, how to integrate
with family and society. There are different types of therapies and counselling given to the patient
    as well as his family.

9. A big relief for Health Workers
Doctors are the most trusted breed in this world
They have huge responsibilities on their shoulder.
Even while sleeping they dream of life , birth and death, the 3 things they have to take care of.

A doctor's job is the toughest job in this world. His main duty is to save lives and cure people,
but with least levels of suffering bore by them. The advent of modern technology and equipment
has been successful in reducing a rock sized burden from his shoulders.
It has not only saved lives but also time and money.

Today doctors are happy souls living in peace who enters an ICU with a smile to cure the patient
and not with a frown to see a suffering fellow being. All thanks to modern day health care.

Lastly something about the leader

With over 8500 beds across 54 hospitals within and outside India and a significant presence at every touch-point of the medical value chain, the Apollo Hospitals Group is one of the largest healthcare groups in Asia.

It is recognized as the "Architect of Healthcare" in India.
Several of the group's hospitals have been among the first in India to receive a form of international healthcare accreditation. It is the largest telemedicine provider in India with 71 centres.

Also it has been one of the pioneers of the technology revolution in healthcare.
It was the first to bring Novalis TX radiosurgery and radiotherapy which has changed the
face of cancer treatment.
Also it has established the Apollo Institute of Robotic Surgery in collaboration with the Vattikuti Foundation of Michigan, USA. This multi-specialty, multi-modality Institute will offer Robot Assisted Surgeries of world class standards at costs which are just a fraction of what is charged in hospitals in advanced nations.

So to sum up, we can say that India is a hub in the medical tourism map where the Apollo family touches and enriches lives every minute, every day.

Fun under the Sun ...

Before writing anything about the meet, I wanna confess one thing..
Before the meet started , I and probably most of the boys had thought that
"We would just sit ,see, eat and come back", but man I must say that this meet turned out to be the most awesomest of all I had ever attended..and I bet to have enjoyed more than the gals out there.

Nwys coming back to the course of how I met the sun and had so much fun.
Came from office and checked my gmail to find something interesting and it was right there at the top.
"New Indiblogger Meet" in Mumbai...wow..but than my expressions changed suddenly as I had a closer look to the word "Neutrogena".

Skin care creams , lotions , sunscreens , fashion , chicks, ladies and Ankit... definitely I was the odd one out..Also I was not much into skin care and had little knowledge about the latest sunscreens in the market and how do they work...if any did..:P. Altogether I was a confused soul waiting for other like minded souls to come online and decide upon the meet.

After so many if's and but's we finally registered our self and waited for the day to arrive.
The meet was scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m on 7th April but there was a buzz on the twitter from the midnight itself..Bloggers were asked to tweet about "Anything under the sun" . Within few mins #Neutrogena started trending as there was a new brand Nokia Lumia 620 up for grab(*Eyebrows raised, eyes wide open, followed by a grin*).

I had lot to do under the sun, swimming , kite flying, enjoying on beach, riding , fashion shows and much more but it was horse riding which took the show away.

It was daytime, the show time. I was glad to accompany fellow bloggers Sriram and Animesh in his car. The venue for the meet was one of my favorite hotel JW Marriott in Juhu. We reached the venue on time and according to the indiblogger protocol got registered.

                                                         Registration time

Also everyone wrote their name on a small yellow Chinese umbrella. Next was to check out the old buddies and meet the new ones.

The ambiance was all yellowish..yellow lighting , yellow umbrellas  and the attire of Neutrogena team was also bright yellow..

The Stage is set for the meet with gorgeous Prachi Desai

Our host for the day appeared on the stage and all eyes got set on her as she looked stunningly gorgeous in her beautiful yellow gown.

Everyone was enjoying the company of their buddies when an announcement was made to form groups with people you don't know. I liked the idea as it helped build new contacts and the newbies were also not alienated. After forming a group we were required to know the names of each person in it. Our group was first to do that and we won Volleyballs for that..(*Yipiee*hands in the air)

Nam Batao Volleyball le jao contest

The next event for the day was where the small yellow Chinese umbrellas came in.

Yellow Umbrellas are distributed to all

Everyone was given an umbrella and the task was know about the person whose name was written on it and than introduce him/her to all.
There was chaos everywhere ,lot of screaming and shouting to find one's umbrella friend.

Anoop I have found my "Umbrella Buddy", nahin mai phele aaya tha..complete chaos

After sometime everyone got settled and random names started appearing on the screen.
Some of the intros were really hilarious but few bloggers were able to dig out a lot of info about their umbrella friend and hence won headphones for their effort.

I got myself settled hoping for no further running around but the lord of laziness was not happy with me and hence came another round of running where you have to form a group of 15-20 people depending upon the no of holes in your umbrella.
My umbrella had 5 holes and hence it was table no 5 for me.
The task was to come up with a name and anthem for your group, somewhere related to the sun as the agenda for the meet was protection from sun.

The name of our group was Sunny Side Up. We contemplated on which song to choose as anthem and unanimously agreed on Give me some Sunshine from 3 idiots.

Our group singing the song "Give me some sunshine from 3 Idiots"

Though we couldn't win it but gave a tough competition to other teams.
Suns of Sardar won the task which involved a lot of creativity and a equally appreciating team effort.

Next came the event which I personally enjoyed the most.
As we already had 6 groups , it involved a battle game between the 2.
At one end we had the attackers, the group who was going to shot yellow colored smiley balls and the other end defenders, who had yellow umbrellas with holes in it.
The task was very simple. Attackers had to get in as many balls through those umbrellas and the defenders had to block those attacks.

                                                     Ye maara Vo maara

Each group played both the roles.

                                                        The Umbrella Army

The concept of this game was to show that though ozone layer acts as our sun shield, but UV rays easily pass through the holes in it which are getting bigger and bigger each day. So we need something to save our skin from sun burns and the harmful UV rays. Here is where Neutrogena acts as our shield against the Sun.

Everyone was tired and hell lot hungry. So it was time for high tea.
Complete marks to JW Marriott for the yummy taste and variety.

There were starters, sandwiches , delicious deserts and  coffee which was enough to satisfy my tummy..

We again moved to the hall and were joined by the most beautiful lady of the eve Tara Sharma.

Though she was a mom of 2 but still looked like a college chic. She was beautifully dressed in a vibrant yellow attire. She talked about her experiences as a mom , about her show "The Tara Sharma Show" which airs on Colors and Nickelodeon and how she used Neutrogena Sunscreens on regular basis.
Than came the Q&A round where bloggers asked some interesting questions to her. I honestly admit that the questions went above my head as they were mostly related to skin care..::P
Prizes were given to some of the Questioners and also to a gal named Neha who wore a vibrant yellow dress. After she won the prize that we came to know that the dress code for the eve was yellow. Well that was a news to us.

Next person to follow was a well known Dermatologist.

He demonstrated some tests on Neutrogena Sunscreens VS other sunscreens in their capacities to protect. What are the effects of UV rays on our skin. Bloggers asked him a lot of questions which involved a lot of technicalities..(*above my head*).

When I thought the meet was almost over , came the most insane and remarkable part of the meet, "The Indiblogger Harlem Shake". For the unaware lot a video demonstrating "Harlem Shake" was played. A guy named Summit started with the proceedings with a mask on his face and when Anoop told everyone to join in the atmosphere went crazy.

                                                      The craziest Harlem Shake

Finally on this nod of madness the meet came to an end.

Everyone then went on to click some snaps with the neutrogena banners and umbrellas.

It was time to say byee until the next meet and yeah collect the awesome goodies which included the sun protection kit from Neutrogena , and as always a new tee from Indiblogger.

Thanks Neutrogena and Indiblogger for such a wonderful experience.
For the first time I have decided to try a sunscreen and as it is Neutrogena, I don't have to care about the sun anymore..Will be out with results soon..:)
